How this works
Each cell is a normalized overlap. We rank every fresh title by demand pressure within its own branch, convert those ranks to percentiles, then compare the lower and higher percentiles across titles tracked at either branch. This puts every branch on the same relative scale. A title missing from one branch counts as zero observed signal. Diagonals are self-matches (—). Branches are grouped by region (North / Central / South Brooklyn) for readability. The matrix is symmetric, so both directions show the same value. If a book isn’t in one branch’s tracked pool, that side counts as no observed signal — not proof of zero real-world demand.
